The Circus Comes To Bon Temps

.
Well, well, well. We waited all season long to find out that Sookie is a fairy. Wow. Not impressed. Oh well, at least she wasn't a really lame bull monster like that woman who sexed up the whole town of Bon Temps last year. Being a fairy is not that spectacular, so the writers of "True Blood" had to amp it up a bit by having Bill Compton explain that Fairy blood is especially enticing for vampires. Hmmm.
.
Meanwhile, Russell has gone completely off his nut, and is killing everyone in sight. Thank goodness. At least the show now, finally, has some conflict of real interest since Russell is gunning for Sookie, Bill and Eric. Unlike the completely hokey storyline last year of the bull monster lady, this new Russell subplot will at least have us tuning in because we're anxious to see who lives and who dies... or dies again.
. .
.
.
But the biggest reveal of last night's "True Blood" was when it turned out that Jason's new girlfriend is a cat person. Remember the 1982 Nastassja Kinski movie, "Cat People", which was a remake of the 1942 original? Well, this is that, all over again.
.
It's like a three ring circus in Bon Temps. First it was vampires, then werewolves, then bull monsters, then shape shifters, and now it's fairies and cat people. Bon Temps is like a f**king supernatural menagerie. What's next, the Mummy and the Invisible Man?
