Happy Birthday, Bitch!

And speaking of famous birthdays, you don't get much more famouser than Queen Elizabeth, who turns 85 today. But who knows if she'll have time to have a servant blow out her birthday candles, she's so damn busy making sure the Wedding/British Tourism Orgasm of the Decade goes off without a hitch. Her grandson, Prince William, and the commoner, Kate Middleton, get married in a few days, and she's peddling that P.R. machine as fast as she can to make sure those tourist dollars keep flowing into the kingdom. But we hate to say it, and maybe Matt Lauer shouldn't hear this as he has a definite man-crush on Prince William, but sorry, the Will/Kate Show doesn't hold a candle to the kind of excitement that was generated thirty years ago by the wedding of Will's parents, Prince Charles and Diana Spencer. Kate is cute, no doubt, especially in those wrap-around dresses which show off her gorgeous waist, but as far as generating real interest, affection and glamour, she's no Princess Diana.
