Leading Man Round-Up

In another edition of Leading Man Round-Up, news broke today that James Franco has been accepted into the doctoral program at The University of Houston for literature and creative writing and will start classes there this fall. Wait a minute. Doesn't he already have one doctorate? Wow. We've heard of sex addicts, porn addicts, Facebook addicts, but now, "education addicts"? Really, James, isn't one doctoral degree enough for one lifetime? At some point, you're going to have to gather up your courage and leave the safe confines of the academic environment to go out into the real world and put all that book learnin' to use. Isn't it time to see if you can make a success of yourself in some small way? Jesus.

On another front, Jake Gyllenhaal is filming his new movie, "End of Watch", in which he and Michael Pena play cops. And leave it to the paparazzi to already catch images of him on set, complete with his new badass, buzzed head look.

But we're already looking forward to Gyllenhaal's next movie, a comedy called "Nailed", which stars Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel and James Marsden. But the stars of the film are not the reason why the movie has us salivating. The supporting cast includes four of the funniest comedic actors working today: Tracy Morgan, Kirstie Alley, Jon Stewart and Paul Reubens, ("Pee-Wee Herman"). With that line-up, we haven't even seen a preview of the movie yet, and we're already laughing.
