The Female Elvis Wins

Ann-Margret started out in the 1960's as a "sex kitten", a starlet who was valued primarily for her looks and sexy swiggle, especially in the movie "Viva Las Vegas" in which she matched Elvis Presley move for move and was thereafter dubbed "The Female Elvis". But she later grew into a well-respected dramatic actress, even nominated twice for an Oscar.

Ann-Margret won her first ever Emmy Award last night, for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama, for a guest spot on "Law and Order: SVU".
