Hello Out There in T.V. Land!

After watching t.v. for the past few days, we noticed there are several "in's and out's" in t.v. land worth noting.

"Out" at American Idol are Ellen DeGeneres and Kara Dioguardi. Reportedly, Jennifer Lopez will be one of the new judges, but no word yet on who will replace Simon Cowell.

"In" at "Glee" for the upcoming season is former Nickelodean's "iCarly" star, Chord Overstreet. We've never watched anything on Nickelodean except for "Spongebob Squarepants", so we have no idea who Overstreet is, but we're hoping he can sing. Or was he chosen for the Justin Bieber hair?

"Out" on last night's HGTV's "Design Star" was Alex, the cute, young guy who, admittedly, didn't have a lot of actual design experience. Do any of these contestants have any actual design experience? We were hoping that Michael would go, his final five status has definitely gone to his head. He was touting his own talent, openly drooling to join the other "beautiful people" at HGTV, while simultaneously deriding Alex's skills. Usually on a reality show when one contestant brags that openly about himself, it means that contestant is going home, but somehow, Michael survived for another round. It's okay, every reality show needs a villian whom we love to hate, and Michael has certainly become that obnoxious character whose ego has swollen far beyond his actual abilities.

"Out" on HBO's "True Blood" are Lorena, Bill Compton's maker and former lover, thank god! and also, very sadly, Cooter, the hottest redneck werewolf we've ever seen. Lorena took a stake in the heart from Sookie, and Cooter took a silver bullet in the head from Alcide, his rival werewolf. We'll miss Cooter, he didn't get nearly enough nude scenes on the show, but Alcide, last night, was looking incredibly hot in his garage mechanic jumpsuit. We can't find a photo of him in the jumpsuit, so you'll have to settle for this one of Alcide, (actor Joe Manganiello), with his shirt off. You don't mind, do you? You're welcome.

Oh, and speaking of "True Blood", also "In" last night was the return of the show's body worship of Jason Stackhouse.

Stackhouse's nude scenes in the first season of "True Blood" was the main thing that hooked so many millions to the show, but recently the exploitation of Jason's body has been relegated to second-class status behind similar scenes for Eric, Alcide, Cooter, and even Sam. But last night was a scene which was so obvious in its purpose, that we couldn't help but think that maybe Jason's portrayer, actor Ryan Kwanten, complained to his agent for a little more "ab time" on the show. Last night Jason was reclining in an armchair wearing only a pair of boxer shorts, and while he spoke, he noticeably flexed his ripped abs several times. It was more than obvious, but we weren't complaining. In fact, we were calling out, "All Hail the Return of Jason Stackhouse's Body!" Alcide, watch your back.
