We wrote a few months back about the fast-rising star of actor Cam Gigandet. He made his name on the t.v. show "The O.C." and in the "Twilight" film series, but he's quickly breaking out as one of the most charismatic and hottest of his generation of young actors. He's currently making a go of it in "Burlesque" with Cher and Christina Aguilera, and will appear next year in "Trespass" with Nicole Kidman. We're thinking that this guy is going to be big..
Meanwhile, some sex symbols from a slightly older generation aren't faring so well these days. The Johnny Depp/Angelina Jolie vehicle, "The Tourist", opened this weekend and flopped bigtime. We love Johnny Depp, but from the reviews we've read of the movie, it sounds like Depp sleep-walked through the film. And although Jolie is arguably one of the most beautiful women in the world, (Joan Collins nailed that one!), she's going to have to stop coasting on the fact that she won the genetic lottery and actually show some personality in her acting. Even sex-starved Americans tire of their sex symbols if all they ever do is pout their lips and make cow eyes at the camera.
