Gwyneth Does It Again

Gwyneth Paltrow guest-starred a few months ago on "Glee" and created a minor sensation with her rendition of Cee Lo's "Fuck You". And we thought her performance was so good and so much fun that it couldn't be topped. Right? But damn, if Paltrow didn't do it again on Tuesday night's "Glee" when she returned to William McKinley High and tore the roof off on Joan Jett's "Do You Wanna Touch?" Come on, "Glee", just go ahead and offer Paltrow a regular role on the hit show, her sex-ed teacher, Holly Holiday, is clearly the best and most entertaining thing on the show.
.
Actually the entire episode of "Glee" this week was pretty good, or at least above average. The whole "Afternoon Delight"/"what is a 'Nooner'?" confusion was hilarious, and Paltrow's harmonizing with Brittany and Santana on "Landslide" was breathtakingly good. And then came the big shocker, Santana's desperate confession of sapphic love to Brittany. Wow. Who saw that one coming?
.
You gotta hand it to the producers of "Glee". Just when the show is so bad that we're ready to write it off forever, they keep finding a way to reel us back in. And if Gwyneth Paltrow keeps showing up, we're hooked.
