Sexiest Men Alive... Duh

People Magazine has issued its "Sexiest Man Alive" issue, and this year's winner is Ryan Reynolds. Runners-up include Matthew Morrison of "Glee", Joe Mangiello of "True Blood", Kellan Lutz of "Twilight" and Jake Gyllenhaal. The editors of People Magazine must have been reading East Village Afternoon, because we've featured all of these guys several times on our pages. So while we don't disagree with the magazine, they certainly picked the right guys, the only thing we'd say to People is, "What took you so long?"

"Buried", but up next for the
pecs-tastic actor is the highly anticipated, and we do mean highly anticipated,
"Green Lantern". "Green Lantern" is one of those pivotal movies which will either make or break Reynolds as an actor. If successful, the green-suited superhero will vault Reynolds onto the "A-List" of Hollywood actors, but if it's a bomb, then you might have a harder time finding the abs-centric actor at your local multiplex anytime soon. Good luck!

Abs, Meet Pecs... Pecs, Meet Abs

According to the Hollywood Reporter, actors Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper will team up in a new movie being described as an edgier, R-rated version of the "Lethal Weapon" series. Sounds great for the 14 year-old boy demographic, but the only way this movie would sell us a ticket is if the two leads really "teamed up", and we think you know what we mean...
.All kidding aside, we mentioned in our recent post about Bob Paris that it wasn't that many years ago that the majority of Americans believed that to be gay means that you're a prancing sissy boy. But now that America understands that gay men are also cowboys, pro football players, rugby players and other all-around tough guys, when will Hollywood catch up? When will we see our first movie with two rugged gay male leads who are hot for each other, and don't apologize for it?

Forget the chicks, this is what we want to see on the Oscar red carpet. Ryan Reynolds looks amazing tonight, and he talked to the press about his upcoming "Green Lantern" movie in which he wears a skin-tight spandex suit that leaves nothing to the imagination.  Wow.  Rate that, Joan Rivers.
